If you are looking for a self-catering holiday, then why not choose a property with the prestigious Gold Award from Visit England. Lake View Holiday Lodge is situated in North Devon and only 10 minutes to the Cornish Border, within close proximity to the beautiful rugged coastline dotted with wonderful sandy beaches, with many interesting places to visit and things to do. Options cover adventure pursuits, relaxation, good food and an abundance of gorgeous fresh air to blow away the cobwebs and fully refresh you - just what a holiday should do. Added to which is the absence of heavy traffic and suffocating crowds even in peak season - what a blessing! This is your chance to get away from the everyday experience of town or city life and enjoy the complete benefits of what North Devon can offer you.
It is clean, well laid out, with two modern bathrooms, great views, an enclosed decking area. The lodge is built from Finnish pine and designed for comfortable holiday accomodation. No problems with low ceilings, poky rooms, hidden corners or lack of storage space. So, treat the family to a new experience with that sense of adventure; you will love it!
Lake View Holiday Lodge is a luxury three bedroom pine lodge accommodating up to eight people. We love animals and are happy to welcome your pets to the lodge too.
Our lodge has been awarded a 3 star GOLD award by Visit England in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017!
We have been welcoming guests to our lodge since 2005 and many guests continue to return for further visits.
Awarded for Exceptional Quality of Accommodation and Customer Service
The lodge is situated at Hartland Forest Parc and can be found 3 kilometres inland off the A39 cost road between Clovelly and Kilkhampton, turning onto the side road signposted East Yagland. The nearest village to the location is Woolsfardisworthy (Woolsery).
Set in a 100+ acre site in the beautiful area of Hartland Forest in North Devon, the privately owned Lodge stands in deep countryside, and overlooks nearby fishing lakes. You can enjoy the glorious peace and quiet of this spectacular setting, yet be within easy reach of all the amenities you need.
Parts of the site are being returned to woodland to support and encourage the local wild life. See how many different species you can spot.
Within 20 minutes from the site, you can be walking the
Devon/Cornwall coastal path, exercising on the beach at Sandymouth Bay
or Westward Ho, strolling around Bude or one of it's two beaches, or visiting
some of the local attractions; for example, Hartland Abbey and Gardens,
Tapeley Park, Rosemoor Centre and Gardens and more. No need to worry about
stocking up with provisions; an excellent village store in Woolsery; Asda,
Morrisons and Sainsbury supermarkets within easy range and a Waitrose
store in Holsworthy. Pannier markets in Bideford and Barnstaple for the
freshest of local produce.
Furnished to the highest standards, the lodge boasts a spacious lounge and dining area, a well-equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms with one en-suite, and an additional bathroom. Comfortably sleeping six and by using the sofa bed in the lounge the lodge can accommodate eight people, and of course your dogs.
All of the rooms are heated by individual electric heaters and you will find that this type of pine lodge is warm and cosy in winter and cool in summer.
A Relaxing Stay
Ready for that break, fed up with hustle and bustle of your daily routine and need to get away? Lakeview Holiday Lodge is the perfect place to relax and unwind. This really is a "home from home" and we guarantee you will be thoroughly relaxed by the end of your holiday. The site is quiet, peaceful and pleasantly free of the trappings of town living.
Enjoy the night skies viewed from outside the lodge. See the vast array of stars visible on clear nights as a result of the complete lack of light pollution in and around the site. You will be amazed.
The surrounding area has an abundance of things to do and places to visit. The big decision is what to do today? The glorious nearby beaches offer everything from surfing, sunbathing, superb sand, rock pools to explore and loads of delicious ice cream. Take the collapsible beach chairs from the lodge with you and relax in comfort.
If you are feeling more energetic, then the coastal path is close and stretches all the way into Cornwall offering superb views of the coastline and the Atlantic Ocean. Or maybe you have brought your bikes with you? then off you go exploring the country lanes and visit some delightful remote villages and pubs along the way.
And if you do encounter a day of rain, no need to despair.
Perhaps some shopping at Atlantic Village, North Devon's Unique Outlet
Village or at the numerous town markets offering locally grown fresh products
will keep you busy.
If you are looking to accommodate a party of more than eight persons, then there is a very good chance we can satisfy you. We have arrangements in place with the owners of nearby lodges whereby your party needs can be met. Please enquire for details.
You may wish to spend a day doing nothing. Then the lodge is perfect for your needs. The Finnish pine design and construction keeps the lodge cool in summer and warm in winter. Just relax with the newspaper, read one of the books available in the lodge, or watch a DVD, walk your dog around the fishing lakes.
So no excuses for not having a wonderful visit to North Devon and in particular, your stay at Lakeview Holiday Lodge; our aim is to offer you a "home from home" and to make your stay as welcoming and comfortable as we possibly can. Please come and enjoy.

Fabulous lodge; location, lakes and seaside. We highly
recommend the lodge, everything here that you can need for a relaxing
holiday. Came for a fishing holiday and was not disappointed; the fish
were biting - 18 lbs 2 oz our record.
First impression of lodge, looks good. Second impression
- wonderful. Clean and tidy and everything we could possibly want. The
"welcome pack" went down very well. We slept really well - the
beds are very comfy.
Adore the lodge, we could live here. View is beautiful,
really lovely. Been to West Country, maybe 40 times; a spiritual home
for me. Many places have a coastline as good, but very few have one better.
Really adore the lodge and we have seen deer, rabbits and pheasants -
We have enjoyed a lovely holiday. We enjoy this part of
Devon and North Cornwall. Body boarding at Widemouth Bay is ideal. Sandymouth
Bay lovely also, especially when the tide is out. Tarka Trail is great
for cycling and we enjoyed the beautiful walk to Spekes Mill Mouth and
enjoyed a pub lunch at Hartland Quay. The lodge was everything you need
for a relaxing holiday, warm and cosy and very comfortable. Beds really
comfy, amazing views and well stocked kitchen. Thanks for the wonderful
"welcome pack". All in all, a wonderfully relaxing and quiet
place to recharge the batteries.

Once again we have all enjoyed staying at your lodge. It
feels like coming home every year. We like the changes too, especially
